Älskar house started as a dream, but many of the best things do, don’t they?

We are the founders of Älskar House, Joanne and Todd Sharp. We have spent our entire lives working in arts and entertainment, and we know how meaningful the space to create in the company of likeminded people can be. We dreamt of a place where we could reimagine our lives and be in the company of talented, inquisitive, and inspiring people.

Älskar House is that art project, itself. Every detail of the house, apartment, outbuildings, and grounds has been touched by us in some way and will continue to evolve, hopefully for the rest of our lives.

It’s a place to reconnect with nature - in this case, the magical nature of the Hudson River Valley. A place to reconnect with yourself. A place to connect with people who are inspired by the same things as you. We invite others to come and add their mark, as well.
